Looking to Create Quality Articles

If you are looking to create quality, informative articles as a means to drive traffic to your website, there are ten key elements you should keep in mind.

1. Title - your title should be engaging, and be directly related to your article.
2. Grammar and Spelling - it is extremely important for your article to be free of spelling and grammar errors. Spell checks are great, but they don’t catch everything. Make sure you double-check your work.
3. Benefits - When writing your article, think about the benefits your readers will get out of it. How is reading your article going to help them? What will they learn? What are they going to do differently?
4. Keywords - include keywords that pertain to your website, product or service. Don’t go overboard though; using each key word three or four times throughout a 500 word article should suffice.
5. Quality - your article should provide enough information that they feel they’ve gotten something out of it after reading. Did you share a little-known fact with them? Did you give them a new idea? People don’t like to feel like their time is being wasted; give them something to read that is of high quality.
6. Clear and Concise - Make your point clear from the beginning. An article generally has an introduction, body, and conclusion. Don’t be too wordy. Get your point across in a clear and concise manner.
7. Make Them Want to Visit Your Website - Give them enough information about how you can help them that they want to visit your website to learn more about what you have to offer.
8. Accuracy - make sure the topic you are writing about is accurate. If you are using statistics or numbers, do your research and make sure they are correct. If you do not provide accurate content, you will lose credibility with your readers very quickly.
9. Original content - article submission sites do not like copy cats and have strict guidelines about submitting original content. If you’ve just taken someone else’s article and tried to put your name to it, it will get flagged by their system, and your website may be banned from submitting to their site in the future.
10. Frequency - Write fresh content and articles at least once a month. It is important to write and submit articles on an ongoing basis. This will keep your name and information in front of readers, who will eventually turn into customers!

If you follow these ten tips for writing quality articles, you will find your website traffic increasing each week. Your search engine rankings will increase and more and more business will be generated. Article marketing is a great cost-effective way to build your online business.
